Week in Review

Ginger is doing a great job of filling some very patient paws.  

This was not my wisest parenting decision and it did not end well.  But made for a cute picture!

Kendall is getting braver and braver.  Wish she'd wait until after our trip to try to hurt herself.  

I like to call this "Operation take too much outside and stand at the door screaming for someone to open it because you have your hands full and MUST bring everything back in at one time."

Ice cream truck!  It played Christmas music.  And the ice cream guy is a super creepy old guy who drives around with his arm hanging out the window holding a cigarette.  

Back in the saddle!

After nearly 20 years, I got my butt back on a horse.  My friend, Kim, bought a new horse.  I'd have preferred to have waited until she got to know him a bit better, but there I was on the 3rd day she had him.  His name is Donavan and he is an absolute sweetheart.  He's a bit difficult (mouthy, pushy, etc.) when not under saddle, but maybe one of the easiest horses to ride I've ever met.  This was a good thing since I have no leg muscle.  I couldn't walk for a good week afterwards.  But I didn't fall off or wind up in the ER.  It was kind of like riding a bike in that it all did come back to me.  The muscles just weren't very responsive.  It is asking a lot of nonexistent muscles to be responsive.  Next time I'll take it a bit easier on myself.  

While I was at the barn, I met this little girl, "Poppy."  Definitely picture-worthy!

And selfie-worthy!  I need a miniature horse.
