1327 Glen Cove

Aka the reason I haven't blogged in over a month.  I bought a house around the corner from the Cottonwood rental house and have spent all of my extra energy the past month fixing it up and getting us moved.  My wonderful neighborhood mom friends threw a little party for me and Kendall to say congratulations.  This is such a fabulous neighborhood and I am so excited that we are able to stay here in our own home!  Pics coming soon!

How a kid can win an argument over where to eat dinner

Set the coffee table with a holiday table runner, placemats, silverware, and a candle in a crystal candlestick.  Turn on Harry Potter.  Works every time.

Notes on the fridge

Apparently I am so low functioning in the mornings that a reminder list has been created on the dry erase board on the fridge.  Note that there is a category for each of us, but it was made clear that the responsibilities on both sides belong to me.  Love that "get shoes on" is at the top of my list but "drink coffee" does not make an appearance.  Clearly one is dependent on the other so the list is obviously flawed.

Which one of these words is most likely NOT a 1st grade spelling word?

Lisa Loeb concert

Lisa's sister, Debbie, is a mom-friend of mine from Lamplighter so we scored free tix to her concert at kid film fest.  We've hung out with Lisa and her kids before with Debbie.  To Kendall, she's just another mom and "Sam's aunt" who has a daughter her age and visits from "somewhere called LA."  I don't think she had any idea how talented she is before we went to this concert.  We have a few of Lisa's kid's songs albums but Kendall has decided it's officially time to start listening to her "grown up songs."  I'm enjoying the college music flashbacks!
