On the last day of Nana and Saza's March visit, I took the day off, kept Kendall out of school and we went to the Dallas Zoo. It was a perfect day to go! No crowds, no school groups, not too hot, not too cold. Of course, we had to start with the carousel. In the "spinny thing."
And there was the requisite elephant climbing.
This was the first time Kendall was allowed to ride the pony without me walking next to her. She did a great job! This is also the last year she can do the pony rides there, although I'm pretty sure they aren't going to card her to make sure she's under 6 years old. She is using this fact as part of her lobbying efforts to take horseback riding lessons.
Kendall and Nana went in to feed the Lorikeets. Saza and Kendall's bird-phobic mother stayed out of there. Kendall had to have her hood up and sunglasses on so they didn't "take her hair or peck at her eyes."
No more goat phobia for this girl!
We ended the visit with a ride on the new train that we almost didn't find. She pretty much had it to herself!
