... didn't happen for Kendall. She was all excited and said all morning long that she WAS going on stage and WAS going to dance. But as soon as we got close to the stage when she was supposed to walk across it before the recital started, she flipped out again. I'm pretty sure the scream could be heard for miles. After that, there was no talking her into going up there for anything. Some of the older girls even came over and gave her hugs and words of encouragement ... to no avail. It didn't help that the recital was scheduled during her nap time (which she still wholeheartedly covets). Ah well. We'll try again next year! She did come home and (after a 3 hour nap) staged several "recitals" for us and her stuffed animal audience and I can tell you that it was adorable! She said she's sad that dance is over so I'm going to look for somewhere close to home where she can take a class once a week over the summer. Dance class, in addition to camp two full days a week and extra swim lessons at least once a week is going to make for one busy summer!
