I have to admit that when I first started hearing about my cousin's regular battles with her (now) 4 year old daughter surrounding appropriate attire for public outings, there was a part of me that thought "Really? How hard can it be to put a kid in the clothes you want her to wear?" Stacy, consider this a public apology:
Yes, she is wearing pajamas. Yes, she is wearing socks with her crocs because it was 20 degrees outside (but I only narrowly won that battle). The sunglasses were donned in the car.
