The basket:
The coveted "DreamLite":
The fur kids' basket:
The excitement!
("there's no place like home...")
The egg hunt:
I'd like to say that Kendall did this to her daddy, and he'll deny it to his grave, but he did this to himself!
Oh. My. Gosh. Is this kid into "lipstick!" Fortunately, she still thinks chapstick qualifies as lipstick because she literally coats the lower half of her head with the stuff!
The Chocolate Bunny breakfast!
Nana and Saza arrived with more presents just in time. Kendall had already started getting bored with the presents from her parents and the Easter Bunny and was requestion to either paint or play with play dough. Neither of these things appealed much to me since I'd been sick the past 4 days, had gotten little to no sleep and really didn't want to sit watching helplessly while my house became even more destroyed!
The coveted "guitar with strings!"
She immediately launched into a song she's learned at school from her Shabbat (and possibly Havdallah) assemblies, "H'ine ma tov." I had no idea she knew all the words, but she sure does!
The show (note the outfit)!
The audience!
Following short naps for both Kendall and myself (short for Kendall because of the sugar coursing through her veins and short for me because of a thunderstorm that caused the terrified dog sleeping next to me to vibrate my bed), we all went to Grandmother and Pops' house for a lovely Easter dinner. Kendall got to play with Mason and Maya and had an absolute blast putting on music shows with Maya! Oh, and yes, my child is back in her "uniform" for Easter dinner. Her cute little Easter sweater dress lasted less than 5 minutes after we walked in the door, then the princess dress appeared from her backpack, clothes were shed, and the uniform donned. *sigh*
After a brief stint sharing the piano with her cousin, the guitar appeared from the backpack. It's hard to say which little girl was bossier. Fortunately, they didn't tell each other what to do but rather focused their energy telling the adults where to sit, when pictures could be taken, when to be quiet, and when to applaud.
This may be my favorite picture of the day. All of the guests of the male persuasion (with the possible exception of Mason) were fairly preoccupied with the Masters tournament and the timing of dinner was planned more around nap and church schedules as opposed to golf watching schedules - the nerve! ;) (I have no idea why the picture on the television screen didn't show up on the picture from my camera - the TV was most assuredly on ... although it is kind of funny to think that these two were staring at a blank television!)
